Calendar of Events
We've created a Google Calendar with the events of the weekend. Click on any entry and "more details" for a map and other info. If you use Google Calendar, you can add this calendar to your own view by pressing the button with the blue plus in the lower right hand corner. (If you're seeing a map instead of a calendar, I apologize on behalf of my employer, and invite you to view the calendar here instead.)The Ceremony
Our wedding ceremony will take place at Yesler Community Center, 917 E Yesler Way, Seattle, WA 98122. There are not many parking places at Yesler Community Center, so we encourage folks to carpool or use public transportation. Directions by car and bus are available here. The parking lot is accessed from 10th Ave E, between E Yesler and E Washington streets. The ceremony will begin at 4:44 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2009.
Attire
Dress nice - be creative! We plan on looking really good, so you should too. The ceremony is indoors, and the reception is both indoors and outdoors. Parking is limited, so expect to walk a bit. Light rain is likely, so bring an umbrella.Gifts
We understand that it's traditional to give gifts to newlyweds as part of the celebration, but we don't want much more material stuff in our life. Your presence and participation in our wedding are the important things. We would be honored if you gave to one of these two groups working on causes we care about:
- Cascade Bicycle Club (Help make Seattle more bike-friendly.)
- Blue Nile Children's Organization (We'll be volunteering with them on our honeymoon!)
Or made a donation to another organization that supports environmental protection, poverty elimination, human health or civil liberties. (We'd love to hear how you choose where to give.)
That said, we would like a nice dining room table for our new house and are looking forward to our honeymoon in Africa. If you'd prefer to help us with those, we wouldn't object.
The Reception
The reception will follow the ceremony at our home:910 17th Ave E

Places to Stay for out of town guests
The maid of honor is arranging friendly lodging for out of town guests who would prefer to stay with local friends who have guest rooms to spare. If this option appeals to you, please fill out this formFor those who would prefer to stay at a hotel, we have a couple suggestions for you.
There are several lovely bed & breakfasts within short walking distance of the reception. Due to the intimate nature of these establishments, we have not made special arrangements with any of them for the wedding, so availability will vary. Here is a map of B&B's.
Or, we have reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Silver Cloud Inn on Broadway:
